An iconic example of British modernist design, the “675″ chair was originally designed by Robin Day in 1952.
Reissued and awarded the prestigious Design Guild Mark Award in 2015, the model is distinguished by its curved walnut-veneered plywood backrest, combined with a slender chrome-plated metal frame and black upholstered seat.
The pair was produced by Habitat, the design retailer founded in London in 1964 by Terence Conran. Habitat played an important role in bringing contemporary design into European homes, notably through reissues of influential designers such as Robin Day.
