DIANA cabinet 1870

An elegant English display cabinet in warm mahogany, dating from circa 1870 and designed in the Queen Anne Revival style.

Its tall, remarkably slender silhouette features two glazed doors with finely carved decorative glazing bars, a restrained cornice and graceful cabriole legs. Inside, glass shelves and a light fabric lining provide an intimate setting for glassware, books and collected objects.

With its shallow depth, Diana brings architectural presence and warmth to a room without occupying excessive floor space — a refined example of the understated elegance associated with late Victorian and Edwardian British interiors.
