An idealised portrait of Marie-Antoinette, reproduced in wax by Maison Trudon in collaboration with the Plaster Cast Workshop of the Réunion des Musées Nationaux–Grand Palais.
Attributed to one of the Brachard brothers, the original model depicts the queen with her head gently turned, a draped fabric across her shoulders and a diadem adorned with a fleur-de-lis and pearls.
Founded in Paris in 1643, Trudon draws on a heritage rooted in candle-making and the Royal Wax Manufacture of Antony, acquired by Jérôme Trudon in 1737.
